現在開催中の世界陸上も、最初に関わらせていただいたのは1年半以上前のこと。多くの関係者との調整を重ねた末に、こうしてイベントが実際に開催されるのだと改めて実感します。
大規模なイベントの準備に関わるたび、表舞台の華やかさの裏にある緻密な計画や調整を目の当たりにします。
通訳として関わる自分自身も、情報整理や優先順位の見極め、関係者への伝え方など、多くの実践を通して成長でき貴重な経験となっています。
I had a meeting at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building regarding next year’s event.
The World Athletics Championships currently underway—my initial involvement with that project began over a year and a half ago. That reminds me these events are realized after countless rounds of coordination.
Every time I’m involved in preparing a large-scale event, I learn the importance of the meticulous planning hidden behind the glamour of the stage.
For me personally, as an interpreter involved in these events, it’s been a valuable experience where I’ve grown through practice in organizing information, determining priorities, and figuring out how to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
