大阪・関西万博で開催されたトークショーにて、宇宙飛行士の山崎直子さん、そしてフリーダイビングのギネス記録保持者である二木アイさんの通訳を担当させていただきました。今回は大阪に足を運ぶことなく、自宅からオンラインでの通訳という形になり、改めて時代の変化を感じる機会となりました。
会場のお客様の反応を直接感じられなかったのは少し残念でしたが、自分の興味を大切にしながら目標に向かって努力を重ね、世界の舞台でご活躍されているお二人のお話を通訳を通じて伺うことができ、本当に貴重で学びの多い時間でした。内容も非常に興味深く、気づけばあっという間に一日が過ぎていました。
I had the honor of serving as an interpreter for astronaut Ms.Naoko Yamazaki and free diver Ms.Ai Futaki, a Guinness World Record holder, at a talk show held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. This time, I was able to work remotely from home rather than traveling to Osaka, which made me aware of how times have changed.
While it was a bit disappointing not to be able to directly feel the audience’s reactions at the venue, it was truly a valuable and enlightening experience to listen to the stories of these two remarkable individuals, who are pursuing their goals with passion and dedication. The content was also highly engaging, and before I knew it, the day had flown by.
